How I won NaNoWriMo 2022. Finally. The final installment of the NaNo 2022 series. Because NaNo 2023 is HERE! (Seven days!) And I’m ready to do it all over again 🙂
This post is made up of the updates I posted on my writer’s Facebook page and Twitter as I stopped to take breaks. I get real numbers crunchy in these posts. It was fun to post these updates. This is post # in the NaNoWriMo 2022 series. All the posts in this series are linked at the bottom of the first post, which you can find here.

Update 1, 4:03pm
Okay! I’m here! I was soooooo tired this morning, so I slept until I absolutely had to get up this morning.
Played and worked with the kids. Came home around 1:45pm and was even more tired. I tried to nap for half an hour, but it didn’t work out. So I dinked around on my phone for a bit, turned the heater on, ate a bowl of cereal and then my mama came up for a bit 🙂
Ant will be home around 4:45pm-ish. We leave for Bible Study around 5:40pm. I’m going to write as much I can between now and then.
Words needed to reach 50,000: 987
See you back before Bible Study with an update =D
Update 2, 8:41pm
Officially crossed the 50,000-word finish line before Bible Study *confetti*
I am a two-time NaNoWinner!

I won waaaaay back in 2015 with 51,766 words. Low-key trying to beat that haha
Currently, my manuscript is at 50,602 words.
Let’s see if I can write more than 1,164 words to beat 2015’s total 🙂
Final Update (number 3), 10:31pm
I’m calling it a night. I’m tiiiiirrreeed. Finishing NaNoWriMo 2022 with 52,615 words.
Leah’s story is nowhere near finished. We’re just getting started. I’ll have more words on this journey, this month, all of it. Later.
Woohoo! What a ride! =D
